From Parks to Pros: Canada’s Wake Scene Got the Slingshot Boost

The Summer of Sling 2025 has just wrapped up and it brought an unforgettable experience to the Canadian wakeboarding scene. Led by the Slingshot crew, the Canadian leg of the tour delivered inspiration, hands-on clinics with pros, demo rides, and an unmatched vibe that will leave a lasting impact on riders across Ontario.

What truly made the tour stand out was the lineup of talent that led the event. Canada’s own wakeboarding pro Dary Znebel joined the tour as a member of the Slingshot team. Alongside him was an all-star roster that included Liam BrearlyLuke HolmesCody HoogeboomMaxx EvanBobby TrammellAnnie Best and Coti Scaglia

Having big names like Znebel and Brearley allowed on-site riders a firsthand look at the best of the best in action, but the event also left a space for learning, connection and community energy to be built.

Ontario’s Bluestone Wake Park launched the first event, which featured demos and sessions with Brearly. Following Bluestone, the next stops were at the Railyard and What and Planet Bayou, where the energy and excitement only grew. At every location, local riders had the chance to ride with Slingshot team members, share tricks, and experience wakeboarding in a grassroots environment.

Slingshot ambassadors ripped the park throughout the day, which elevated demo rides beyond gear testing. The presence of recognizable names reinforced the tour’s celebration of Canada’s authentic wake culture.

Away from pure action, the event was also packed with gear releases and live access to the 2026 board lineup. New boards in the 2026 lineup included ZuupackFriendship and more.

Overall, The Summer of Sling 2025 proved that Slingshot isn’t just about the gear, it’s about community, culture and connection. The tour celebrated Canadian wake culture at every location, bringing Canadians together through their love of wakeboarding.
